Kristin H
Lyra Instructor
Kristin has lived most of her early life in the midwest. She hated gym class in high school and never considered herself athletic in any way. In 2015, a friend invited Kristin to her first lyra class. She was instantly hooked and found motivation to exercise and get stronger through aerial dance. She took lyra and silks classes and also enjoyed yoga and belly dancing. She found a strong dance community in the twin cities, MN but that all came to a halt when the pandemic hit.
In 2021, she moved to Seattle. She felt she had lost a lot of strength and flexibility during the pandemic and knew aerial was the best way to gain it back. She began searching for an aerial studio and finally found a good fit with Mora Pole and Aerial. She loves how inviting and encouraging everyone is at Mora. Aerial provides her relief from chronic pain and an escape from the mundane everyday life. Aerial arts has been such a positive journey for Kristin and she is excited to share this empowering experience with others!
Kristin enjoys practicing lyra, hammock, silks and the occasional pole class when she's feeling brave enough to step out of her comfort zone. When not in the Mora studio, she is either sewing costumes or making art and jewelry while binge watching tv shows. She also enjoys paddle boarding and playing games with friends.
